Wild Indigo Duskywing is very common at Fermilab, probably due to the unfortunate prevalence of crown vetch, an invasive member of the legume family which was planted on the Fermilab accelerator berms to stabilize the soil in the early days of the lab.  Historically, the caterpillar host plant was probably wild indigo (Baptisia), but this duskywing has adapted to the imported and invasive crown vetch.
